多年前看過一次，記得甚是好看，但印象有點依稀，所以某日決定重溫這電影。
第二次看，仍然叫我感動，是春風化雨的故事，學生不是壞孩子，成績斐然，也肯用心學習，但因為學校因循守舊，不止要學生努力讀書，還要唯唯諾諾；父母也不讓子女選擇，必須要他們遵從自己，認為自己的選擇是對他們最好。
成績是重要，但就能代表一切嗎？德、智、體、群、美其實缺一不可。新來的老師不是要教機器去背書，是想教導孩子成為有自我思考能力的人，讓他們逐漸成形，慢慢的站起來，從多角度去看事物，從而享受有限的生命，才算沒白活過。俗語說：沒跌過沒算長大、經一事長一智，這些都是老生常談，但是長輩的權威在當年是不可被挑戰，就算錯了，也只能找藉口去掩飾，或者將責任推卸給別人，這樣是對孩子的好榜樣嗎？
到現今社會這種情況還是存在。這電影是二十年前所拍的，到現在看仍沒脫節。
